Teeth on the Same Day: A Fast, Fixed Solution
Same-day implant treatment (immediate loading) means a temporary tooth or set of teeth is fitted on the implant on the day it is placed, so you are not left without teeth for months between extraction and your new tooth. At DSA Dental Smile Art in Kuşadası, we assess whether you are suitable with a free examination and 3D CT scan.
What Are Same-Day Implants and Who Are They For?
With conventional implants, you wait 2–6 months after placement before a tooth is fitted. With same-day implants, if the implant achieves enough initial stability when it is placed, a temporary tooth is fitted on it the same day. Important: the tooth fitted on the same day is temporary; the final zirconia or porcelain teeth are made once the implant has bonded with the bone, usually within 3–4 months.
Who is it suitable for?
- Patients with enough bone density and volume
- People losing front teeth who do not want to be without teeth for aesthetic reasons
- People missing all their teeth who want fixed teeth on the same day with All-on-4 or All-on-6
- People whose clenching or grinding is under control
- Adults whose general health allows minor surgery and who can stop smoking
If bone is insufficient or the implant does not achieve enough stability when placed, the safer conventional protocol with a healing period is used. Your dentist makes this decision during the procedure.
Free initial assessment: the first examination, panoramic X-ray and 3D dental CT scan are free at our clinic. The 3D scan helps your dentist assess the available bone and plan the dimensions and position of the implant.
Our own laboratory: implant crowns and bridges are made in our in-house dental laboratory. The dentist and technician can check colour, shape and fit on the same day, which shortens the time between impressions and the final teeth.
Which implant brands do we use? We work with internationally certified Osstem, Hiossen and BEGO implant systems. If you prefer a different brand, we can source other well-known brands for you. You choose the brand together with your dentist, based on your bone, treatment plan and expectations.
Who Are Same-Day Implants Not Suitable For?
With same-day implants, the implant is loaded with a temporary tooth on the day it is placed. To do this safely, the implant must be firmly stable in the bone from the start. In the following situations it is usually safer to let the implant heal first rather than load it on the same day:
- Insufficient bone volume or density
- Extensive bone grafting or a sinus lift is needed
- Health conditions that affect healing, such as uncontrolled diabetes
- Heavy smoking
- Untreated gum disease or an active infection
- Severe clenching or grinding (bruxism)
Suitability is assessed with an examination and 3D CT scan. Patients who are not suitable can still have implants; the teeth are simply fitted after healing.
What is a one-stage implant?
With a one-stage implant, a healing cap is fitted on the implant after placement and the gum is not closed over it, so no second minor surgery is needed to uncover it. With the two-stage method, the implant heals under the gum and is uncovered a few months later. Why Same-Day Implants?
- You are usually not left without teeth: extraction, implant and temporary tooth can be done in the same session, so you leave the clinic smiling on the same day.
- Fewer sessions: because extraction and implant are not done separately, you need fewer clinic visits – a big advantage for patients travelling from abroad.
- Gum and bone shape are preserved: placing the implant and temporary tooth right after extraction helps maintain the shape of the gum.
- No disruption to social and working life: even with front teeth, you can return to work the next day.
- A permanent result: the zirconia teeth fitted after healing give a long-lasting, natural-looking result.

Treatment at a Glance
With same-day implants, temporary teeth are fitted on the same day; the total time until the final teeth is usually 3–4 months. Suitability depends on bone quality, the initial stability of the implant and your general health, and is assessed with a free CT scan.
For patients from abroad, the examination, implant and temporary teeth are completed within a few days on the first visit; on a second visit about 3 months later, the final teeth are fitted within 5–7 days.
