Smile Design

Smile design is not a single procedure but a planning method. The length, width and colour of the teeth, the gum line and facial proportions are assessed together; once the target smile is defined, the least invasive treatments needed to achieve it are chosen. The plan may include one or more of the following:

• Teeth whitening – to lighten the natural colour of the teeth
• Composite bonding – to repair small chips and close small gaps without preparing the teeth
• Veneers – to change the shape and colour of front teeth with minimal preparation
• Zirconia crowns – when strength is needed as well as colour and shape correction
• Gum contouring – for a “gummy smile” or an uneven gum line
• Orthodontics – to straighten crowded teeth without preparing them

Who is it suitable for? Adults who are unhappy with the colour, shape, length or spacing of their teeth and want a natural but more harmonious smile. Any gum disease or decay is treated first.

Free examination: the first examination, panoramic X-ray and, where needed, a 3D CT scan are free at our clinic. Your treatment plan and timeline are given to you in writing after the examination.

Our own laboratory: crowns and veneers are made in our in-house dental laboratory. At the try-in appointment, the dentist and technician check the shade, shape and fit on the same day, which shortens treatment and improves the fit.
