Effective Protection and Repair for Your Teeth
During filling treatment, the dentist removes decayed tissue from a tooth that has lost structure through decay or a small break and rebuilds it with a tooth-coloured material. At DSA Dental Smile Art in Kuşadası, fillings are usually completed in a single session. If your teeth have no decay and you only want to change how they look, see our composite bonding page.

What Is a Dental Filling and When Is It Needed?
Decay gradually destroys the enamel and the dentine beneath it. A filling done early stops the decay from reaching the nerve and avoids the need for root canal treatment or tooth extraction.
When a filling is needed:
- Sensitivity to hot, cold or sweet things
- Brown or black spots or a hole in the tooth
- Floss catching or food getting trapped
- Broken or lost old fillings
- Decay between teeth found on an X-ray
Types of filling:
- Composite (tooth-coloured) filling: the most common cosmetic filling for front and back teeth, bonded to the tooth.
- Inlay / onlay (porcelain or composite): a stronger, lab-made filling for larger losses of tooth structure.
Free examination: the first examination, panoramic X-ray and, where needed, a 3D CT scan are free at our clinic. Your treatment plan and timeline are given to you in writing after the examination.

Treatment at a Glance
A composite filling is usually completed in a single session, taking 30–60 minutes per tooth; you can eat straight afterwards (though waiting until the anaesthetic wears off is advised). If an inlay/onlay is needed, 2 sessions are planned because it is made in the laboratory.
